We Have Come along way since Walter Cronkite announced Neil Armstrongs walk on the moon.

The Eagle Nebula depicted here is a birthplace of stars, where gases and matter form the beginnings of stars in this most beautiful nursery of the heavens taken by the hubble telescope.

The Hubble as it orbits earth has been recently outfitted with new equipment in 2009 that will allow it to see further into space as it continues its amazing exploration of huge areas of space.

 

 New pictureses are expected to be of greater resolution.

This picture was shot from the space shuttle as it was leaving it from a maintenance mission.
