This alarming report has many scientists worried !
A 3 million square mile area in the south atlantic ocean has dangerously low magnetic field, and is experiencing dangerous radiation from outer space.
The Magnetosphere comes out of the earth like a big bubble and protects the earth from charged particles coming from space. Radiation causes cellular damage, DNA Mutations, Skin cancer and death.
The Magnetosphere encircles the entire planet, emerging from the south pole and re-enters the earth at the magnetic north pole.
Scientists believe it is generated 3000 miles deep within the earth core, and encircles the planet for many miles into space, except where the hole is in the atlantic ocean. Just off the coast of brazil is an area 3 million square miles wide that is getting bombarded by the suns radiation.
We are under a constant barrage of super heated particles traveling from the sun at up to one million miles per hour. What is concerning scientists is that the anomaly in the atlantic ocean is growing, and they dont know why.
Some of the suns particles also leaks in where the magnetosphere is weakest , at the poles. Aurora Borealis is one example of this.
When Satellites pass over the anomaly, like the hubble , they have to shut down the electronics to save it from damage. Radiation is getting lower into the atmosphere, and now jet passengers are at risk, and pilots may experience radio signal loss.
Besides , this anomaly, the question arises whether the earths magnetosphere is weakening overtime. They found a curious way to measure that by using ancient pottery. Magnetites in the clay, when super heated reveal the intensity of their magnetic charge . And In a measured case study of a clay pot from the 1640 era, it has been discovered that the earths magnetic field is 10 % less.
Now I can here scientists clamoring over that argument, but considering the fact that the earths rotations is slowing, and that in combination with the iron magma inside the earth generates the field, it is not hard to see that it may indeed be weaker than years ago just from plain physics.
Learning the exact mechanism that creates the magnetosphere deep with the earth is quite challenging , whereby scientists use earthquakes to study how the composition of the inside of the planet is oriented. When an earthquake occurs, they use sensors on the opposite side of the planet to determine speed, and placement to form an image of the inside of the planet. These waves don’t travel in a straight line, they bend when they pass thru different layers.
They find that there is a solid Iron metal core at the center of the earth. It is surrounded by spinning liquid molten sodium and other materials. This has been reproduced in a laboratory and it does indeed create a magnetosphere.
Earths molten core may slowly be cooling, which would also explain a weakening in the field.
The magnetic north pole is constantly moving, it is not where it was when pirates used a compass to navigate true north hundreds of years ago.
The atlantic anomaly magnetic charge is not just weakening, it has reversed ! Perhaps a precursor to a pole reversal.

Sample cores has magnetite in it. When it cools (Like the potter) they line up with poles, and indicates it strength and direction.
In the last 20 million years the poles have reversed 18,000 timess, according to geo-physicists. And during these reversals the magnetic field strength dropped significantly,
The last flip occurred 780,000 years ago. They are saying we are do for another. During a flip, we can sumise that the suns rays will reach the earth and cause havoc. Increased volcanic and earthquake activity will happen.
They have not linked these reversals with mass extinction events, which are 5-6 in number.
Perhaps technology, and luck will give us an edge to survive the next one.
